About

The Wall Township Fire Bureau’s job is to enforce the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code and all local codes throughout the township. These duties consist of investigations of complaints, routine fire inspections, fire lane enforcement, smoke detector / carbon monoxide compliance and public education. Along with the above duties the Bureau is responsible for the investigation or cause to be investigated of all fires within the township.

The Bureau of Fire Prevention, governed by Wall Township Fire District No. 3, provides, through shared services agreements, fire inspection services to all three of the Townships Fire Districts. A Committee, consisting of two commissioners from each of the participating fire districts, has oversight on major operating issues such as budget development, report review, etc. and act in a policy advisory role.

Our office is located in the Fire Station at 1612 Route 71, between 16th and 17th Avenues, and is open 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday.

The professional and friendly staff of the Fire Bureau will assist the public with questions concerning applications for smoke detector / carbon monoxide compliance, Knox Box applications, as well as scheduling appointments for inspections.
